What Do Unicorns Dream Of?

Initially begun as practice on painting backgrounds, it took me a little while to decide what the actual subject of the painting should be. The little otters find an unexpected guest napping in their playground and wonder what he dreams of as he nickers softly in his sleep.

Painted 100% in Krita. I used a photo by Hikari-Kirin as reference for the unicorn. The background/setting is from imagination and the otters I looked at a ton of photos before drawing my own, without referencing any one in particular. 

Edit: I ended up changing the otters a little because the way I had posed them was bothering the heck out of me, so new print file has been uploaded.
